Kidney Donation Gives Melissa Coleman a Second Chance at Life

Apr 10, 2017

Melissa Coleman has a second chance at life, and she owes it to the selflessness of a 14-year-old’s family who had to make a tough call at an unimaginable time.

When Sean Clegg was riding his bike outside of his house in Tabernacle, N.J., with his brother and his best friend, he was hit and killed by a car.

On that day, his family decided to donate his organs — including his kidneys, lung, and heart — to give others a second chance at life.

Coleman tells her story wherever she goes, hoping to show the importance of organ donation.
