Stand Up for Rural Health Care: Saving Lives, One Hospital at a Time!

Rural hospitals are often the only source for health care in the community.

They provide essential health services, just like larger, urban hospitals do including 24/7 emergency care, laboratory and imaging, surgical services, cardiology, family medicine, and behavioral health care. They may also provide labor and delivery, rehabilitation, long-term care, home health care, and hospice.

But there are significant barriers to receiving health care for rural Pennsylvanians. And rural hospitals are in trouble.
